Security:
Please make sure your balcony doors are locked if leaving your room and at night. In consideration of your fellow guests, we ask that any day visitors leave the apartments by 10pm. Security patrols start at 9pm and finish at 5.00am for your safety.
Smoking:
We are a non-smoking resort – Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the building or in the common areas.
Emergencies
Dial 000 for all medical and life-threatening emergencies
Be aware ambulances are too high for our underground carpark so direct and meet them at the front gate on David Low Way. Ambulance stretchers do not fit in the lifts.
Ambulance costs: this will apply if you are not a Qld resident.
Fire:
- Do not panic
- Dial 000
- Evacuate the building
Fire Extinguishers and Hose Reels:
These are in every lift well area on every floor, each car park area and behind the retail precinct.
Evacuation and Assembly Point:
Evacuation and Assembly diagrams are on the back of your unit entry door and each foyer.
Leave your apartment immediately by the safest route and assemble outside the Coolum Beach Bowls Club (Elizabeth Street) near the carpark.
DO NOT USE THE LIFTS IN THE EVENT OF A FIRE.
Medical Kit:
There is a first aid kit in the office if needed. Please ask staff for assistance.
Sunshine Coast Aiports:
The Sunshine Coast Airport is approximately 15 minutes south of Coolum Beach.
Brisbane Airport:
Brisbane domestic and international airports are located approximately 1.5 hours (depending on traffic conditions) South of Coolum.
Element on Coolum Beach offers self-contained apartments. A complimentary supply of amenities is in your apartment to get you started.
A service and linen change is available for guests staying 7 nights or longer. This service is automatically scheduled and will occur mid stay.
Your apartment has been furnished with cleaning equipment and full laundry facilities for your convenience and use. If there is an unfortunate accident or damage in your apartment, please let reception know as soon as possible so that we can minimise any inconvenience.
On departure, please place your used dishes etc in the dishwasher and turn it on. Place rubbish and recycling in the skip bins located in our basement located near the lifts.
Air Conditioning:
All doors and windows must be closed for the air conditioning to work efficiently. To reduce the risk of overloading and break down, we recommend setting it to 24 degrees and then calmly wait for it to cool rather than lowering the temperatures too low.
CAUTION: Floors will become slippery with the humidity if windows and doors are left open when air conditioning is on. Please close all windows and doors.
Please turn off air conditioning when you leave the apartment to conserve power.
Body Corporate By-Laws:
Element on Coolum Beach apartments are individually owned and managed under a Body Corporate Scheme. By-laws are set for the comfort and enjoyment of residents and guests and must be adhered to at all times.
Typical By-laws that may affect your stay are:
- No pets allowed
- Noise levels (Be aware not to disturb other residents) No outside noise after 9pm
- No smoking permitted in your unit or on the property common areas
- Refuse/rubbish not to be placed on balconies or stairwells
- No glass to be taken into the swimming pool area. Plastic drinkware is provided in your apartment
- Balconies railings are not to be used for hanging towels and clothing please, we supply all apartments with clothes airers for your convenience.
Missing Room Key:
Please be advised there is a charge applied for lost keys, and you will be offered a refund once they are returned if you happen to find the keys when you unpack.
Security:

Pool / Beach Towels:
Striped Pool/beach towels are in your bedroom wardrobe, and they are yours to use for the duration of your stay for pool and beach use.
We ask that you leave them in your apartment when you leave. Missing towels may be charged at $20 each.
Please do not take your white room towels to the pool or beach.
TV and Books:
All Apartment’s have SMART TVs in the living room with Foxtel. If you have difficulty, please call Reception for assistance. Be aware that Television maybe interrupted by storms in the area. Books can be borrowed from our small but wide selection.
In house coffee/tea
A selection of tea and coffee including Nespresso is available to get you started.
Barbecue Facility:
BBQ facilities for your use are located at the rear of the complex. When using these facilities please be mindful of the next user and leave the area as clean as you can. BBQ utensil kits are available from Reception.
Car Parking:
Secure parking is complimentary. You are permitted to park in the space/s allocated to your apartment unless other arrangements have been made with reception.
Please note that the retail section of the car park has a 3-hour limit and is a towaway zone.
Please ensure that your vehicle is locked, and valuables are removed as Management takes no responsibility for any goods lost or stolen.
Wheelchair or assisted walking access to the pool and shops:
Please come and see us at Reception, we will change your access fob so you can move freely in the Basement and up through Lift 4 which allows flat ground access to the pool area.
If you need to access the front shops, Banks and Restaurants; simply go to the basement and using your special fob slide the gates open and walk through to the ramp. In most cases this is arranged prior to your visit.
Prams Easy Access:
To access the front shops, and restaurants simply go to the basement using your fob, once in the basement we have two pedestrian exit doors in the front and centre corner of the carpark. We have painted these pedestrian doors YELLOW.
Conserve Power and Help the Planet:
To help the environment and to assist us in keeping costs at a minimum, please turn off all lights and TVs when not in use and turn off the air-conditioning / heating when you leave the apartment.
Access and Intercom:
The front gate of the Resort will be closed when Reception closes each evening.
For access you will need to swipe your “fob” key against the black control box. Then this will then release the lock on the gate. The same will have to be repeated at your foyer entrance.
Visitors can type your apartment number and then press the phone symbol button on the intercom panel beside the front gate, and your foyer entrance.
To allow guest access, simply press ANSWER to speak to your guest then press UNLOCK to let them in.
Swimming Pool:
Open 7am to 9pm.
NO GLASS is allowed in the pool area due to safety reasons. Plastic drinkware is supplied in your apartment for pool use.
Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 years.
Please use the external shower to remove sand before entering the pool.
PLEASE – NO RUNNING, BOMBING, OR DIVING
Restaurants:
Our retail precinct offers a range of restaurants and cafes:
- Coffee Club
- Gelato Mio
- Coolum Thai Spice
- Estancia Maria
- Ma Boulange Patisserie
- Everyday Coffee
There is also the award-winning Gelato Mio to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Please let the staff of these establishments know that you’re a guest of ours to be eligible for special offers.
Shopping:
Supermarket – Coles (Birtwill Street) and Woolworths (South Coolum Road) are open 7 days.
Shopping centres – the largest centre, The Sunshine Plaza, is approximately 20 minutes south of us in Maroochydore, or the Noosa Civic is approximately 20 minutes north.
Taxis and Public Transport:
There is no Taxi rank located in the Coolum area, therefore all taxis need to be booked (allow 10-15 minutes).
Suncoast Cabs can be contacted on 131 008 – or contact reception for assistance.
Buses – Stops and shelters are located within walking distance of the resort.
Con-X-ion is an airport shuttle service, bookings are needed.
Train – The nearest train station is Nambour.
Uber offers a service in Coolum Beach.
Tours:
A full selection of tour brochures is available in the carpark near lifts 4 and 7.
Car Hire:
Car hire, limousine and airport transfers are also available for your convenience.

There are several first-class golf courses located close by including: Peregian Springs, Noosa Springs, Mt Coolum, Twin Waters and Tewantin Noosa Golf Club.
