The region has grown enormously in the past few years and now provides the ideal Tourist destination for singles, couples and families alike for either a weekend escape or for an extended holiday.
Enjoy 17km of sun-drenched golden beaches and rolling surf, with patrolled Beaches located close by. Located at the foot/entrance to the resort are some of Coolum’s most fabulous cafes, restaurants and boutique shopping.
If you like golf, then you are spoilt for choice with several top Sunshine Coast Golf courses near by. There is also a magnificent children’s playground across from us on the beachfront.
Activities
Mt Coolum – 6km, 9 minutes drive or less.
Australia’s second largest rock formation in Australia, after Uluru, with magical views from the top, stretching all the way from Noosa National Park to Caloundra and across the hinterland. You will need a moderate level of fitness and good walking shoes to scale to 208m incline which is quite steep in spots.
Anticipate 25 minute to an hour walk each way depending on speed and fitness level, and make sure you leave time to take in the view at the top. Bring your camera and plenty of water. Walk starts on the corner of Tanah Street and Jarnahill Drive.

Coolum’s own inflatable aqua park is the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, and totally lives up to its name! Located behind Coolum in the industrial area, there is everything you need for a fun day out including shaded picnic areas, BBQ’s and deck chairs. Inflatable fun is available from 50 minutes, and all day and family passes are available.
Hastings Street 22 minutes 17km (30 minutes by bus).
You can still enjoy a visit to Noosa’s Hastings Street for some village style shopping without the crowds! Jump on a bus and enjoy beach views along the way. Hastings Street is adjacent to the National Park, which is a lovely easy stroll under the trees.

A favourite of the locals, Peregian Originals offers you live local music at its best! Bring a picnic and settle down for an afternoon chillaxing as you take in the vibes. It’s right on the beachfront, plus there is a skate park and playground for the kids!

Open Wednesdays and Saturdays, iconic Eumundi markets is a mecca for artisan wares, local produce, an extensive array of international food and local entertainment. Find them at Memorial Avenue, Eumundi.
20 minutes, 17 km
A theme park with a difference! The Ginger Factory is a unique must see attraction with something for the whole family. Jump on the Morton the train for a ride around tropical gardens, or enjoy it on foot. The kids will love the boat ride! There are daily factory tours, and a variety of unique boutique shops as well as their wonderful Ginger Factory Shop filled with treats and wonderful wares. There is also a café and ice cream shop on site. Don’t miss it! Pioneer Road, Yandina.
And while you’re there… Just opposite The Ginger Factory, you’ll find Nutworks, where you’ll discover everything there is to know about the Macadamia nut, and enjoy mouth-watering treats and confectionary created by their in-house Chocolatiers and Confectioners.
There is so much to see in Montville that there’s almost too much to list! Enjoy a scenic drive and take in the village atmosphere and quaint variety of boutique shops. Drive a little further toward Maleny and enjoy magnificent views over Mary Cairncross, stop into Maleny Cheese Factory at Flaxton for some sampling, and don’t forget Maleny Dairies, the children will love it!

Arguably Australia’s largest and most famous zoo and conservation facility, it makes for a big day out! Their wildlife displays are second to none.
Experience everything that native Australian animals have to offer as well as their extensive African Safari exhibit! So much to see! You will also find Aussie World, our own spectacular theme park with thrilling rides and amusements, the Big Cart Track for fast action, Opals Down under, which includes treasure hunts for the kids.
