It basically isn’t summer until you’ve chilled by the ocean. Fortunately, you have a lot of choice in the Sunshine Coast. Surfers, families, and sun lizards alike are attracted to the blue haze of beauty that is our coastline; and with Coolum Beach at your doorstep – and Marcoola, Peregian, and Mudjimba beaches a stone’s throw away, your view of white sand nicely contrasting with clear turquoise water will keep the chilled vibe going so you and the family get the ‘R & R’ you deserve.

4. Coolum Skate Park to Carve Up the Bowl

As skateboarding continues to grow, so do beachside skate parks. Coolum Skate Park is a great space for kids who want a bit of skate action. Whether you’re passing through the beach catching sun or living locally, this park offers two decent-sized bowls.

The bigger bowl with more vert sides is a huge draw for experienced skaters who like to carve and turn, while the smaller bowl suits the younger, more novice skaters who can learn through the mellow transitions. All in all, it’s a great way to burn energy and spend the day outdoors!
